Amy Vickers earned a M.Ed. in Adult Education from the University of Minnesota and has a current Minnesota ABE teaching license.  She taught various ABE classes during her 8 years with Minneapolis Adult Education; since 2011 she has developed a specialization in adult numeracy.  Amy has been serving on the Advisory Team for the Minnesota Numeracy Initiative (MNI) since its inception in 2011, and from 2012 -2014 she led Minnesota ABE's professional development initiative to prepare for the 2014 GED® test.  Currently she lives in northern Wisconsin, is the president-elect of the the Adult Numeracy Network, teaches online classes through LINCS, World Education, and Hamline University, works on related consulting projects, and teaches at a rural Academic Success site through her local technical college.
